he Emergency Medical Technician training, held in conjunction with Seymour Ambulance,is designed for people just starting their career in the field of Emergency Medical Services or current emergency professionals (such as firefighters) looking to expand their knowledge. Come have fun while learning through classroom lecture, hands-on skills, online training and practical experience from the professionals in the field. After completion of this program and passing of the State of Connecticut certification exam, you are qualified to work as a Basic EMT. You can be employed by ambulance services, hospitals, and fire departments.
To secure your spot, a $600 non-refundable deposit is due by August 26, 2026 with the $695 remainder due by September 2, 2026. Tuition includes the textbook, online access, drills, CPR certification, smart triage, human trafficking and QPR certification. You must be 16 years or older to participate in the program.

Classes begin September 2, 2026 and will be held Monday and Wednesday, 6 pm - 10 pm, and some Saturdays. No senior discount given.

Actively volunteering at Seymour Ambulance for 1 year and you will be eligible to receive 50% of your tuition back. Actively volunteering for the 2nd year and you will receive the remaining 50%.
